Welcome fellow foodie! 

Allow me to provide a brief history that will help you get to know me and learn why I created Foodie Fantasies on demand cooking classes. My name is Chef Stephanie Chinchilla and I am OBSESSED with all things culinary related, especially: cooking, butchery, dry aged beef, chickens & dairy cows, gardening, fermenting & preserving, all things wine & craft cocktails, hospitality & dining ambiance.

I have worked in both front and back of house in the restaurant industry for over 20 years. I was a natural at cooking as soon as I could reach the counter top to help my mom. I started taking culinary classes at 14 years old. I later completed a Culinary & Baking program in Los Angeles as well as other completing other courses at the Culinary Institute Of America among others. I still invest in my education in culinary arts, business, hospitality & wine and spirits every. single. year. Learning in this industry never ends and thats why I LOVE it.

In 2014 I spent over a year designing a business plan to start my own company and launched it August of 2015, offering a variety of in person culinary experiences including private chef's table dining experiences, cooking classes, team building and more. Over the years an overwhelming amount of my guests expressed a strong desire for me to teach them how to cook. My issue was, people needed classes they could afford, but there was no chance of being able to offer in person classes for everyday home cooks at a reasonable price point for all, due to over head costs of running a brick & mortar. Then 2020 happened & I had no option of running ANY in person events at all. Having quickly gone from running successful company, to zero dollars in sales overnight, I had to get creative. I told my husband that I wanted to turn our spare bedroom of our two bedroom apartment into a culinary media studio. He thought I was nuts (which I am a little, all of us Chef's are lol) but, he went for it. I put up peel and stick wall paper tiles (lol), shipped commercial culinary equipment to my apartment building, squeezed it into a tiny room, put up studio  lighting and professional cameras and literally hustled my little bum off every. single. day. for years. Before I launched online, I was terrified of the internet & virtual world, but I did it anyways. In the end, I kept the company afloat & scaled the company larger over the next few years. We were blessed enough to move our culinary studio into a bigger and better kitchen and thrived!

After the media studio was created, I realized I had everything I needed and found a solution to offering reasonably priced classes as requested by my guests for years... and thats how Foodie Fantasies on demand cooking classes was born. The lessons were written methodically ensuring what you need to know is all right there for you. Each lesson is between 15-40 minutes AFTER BEING EDITED DOWN. Which means each lesson has an extensive amount of information & value all condensed to make learning practical without taking so much time, simplified and affordable. Every lesson includes an up close video so you can see exactly what to do along the way, as well as a downloadable PDF recipe & instructions. 

Now I know, in person classes are fun & I believe hands on learning is valuable & important, BUT, in person classes are significantly more expensive. If you took each of the on demand classes in person it would be around $150 per class. The reality is that spending $1000's of dollars per year on in person lessons is not something many everyday home cooks can afford. This is why I created Foodie Fantasies, an on demand library of detailed cooking classes that are practical financially AND actually teach you how to cook, not just tell you how to follow a recipe.
